My Amazing Life: WHAT IF??

Howdy Yall!! It's been a while (yet again) since my last post! Time is flying. Something about the days (at work and away from Owen) dragging, and the nights (spending time with Owen & sleeping) going by so fast! Then it's the weekend and they fly by too! Life, right? Anyway, here is the latest:

Owen had his 6mo appointment at the end of June. My big man weighed in at a whopping 17.4lbs and measured 25.75in. I think that was 60% and 30% respectively. He was a champ at his shots too!! All went well, except for his head size. Apparently the Dr. was worried about the rate of growth of his head, so she ordered a CT scan. At first, it was 'just to make sure', then- after my 'research' online, I find out the scan was ordered to rule out things like Autism, water on the brain...you know, just run of the mill stuff. Needless to say, when I realized that this could be serious, I was a wreck for a week. The scan was ordered Tuesday of the following week, and it took Cooks Childrens exactly 3 hours to send the results to Owen's pediatricians office. They called us right away to let us know that the scan came back clean!!!!!! In the back of our minds and hearts, we all felt that everything was going to be fine, but there is always that looming question, WHAT IF???

Now it's the end of JULY!!! WHAT?!?!? Has an entire month flown by?? I can't believe it! The next couple months are going to fly by too. We have 1 birthday in July, 4 birthdays (including the 2nd anniversary of my 25th) and 2 wedding showers in August; and 4 birthdays (including Chad's 30th) and a family vacation within the first 2wks of September. CRAZY!

We tried to feed Owen grains again....his pediatrician wanted us to see if he had grown out of his 'rejection' to grains. Apparently Dr.'s just won't use the term 'allergy' until he is a little bit older. I gave him a couple spoons of Banana Raspberry Oats- and the poor kid was sick all day long! We are kind of thinking it might be a gluten thing.... but only time will tell.

Friends, Carter and Blakely, came over after his 6mo appt. Owen is hamming it up (as usual), Carter is sleepy, and Blakely is wondering what Carter is thinking! Such cuties!!!!
