4 months and Adorable!

It's been another couple of weeks...already! I just can't keep up!!!!!
Saturday morning we walked with close friends in the 'March of Dimes' in memory of their little girl, Kaiya. They lost her at 24wks gestation, and gave birth to their son Roman (Kaiya's twin) at 30wks- who is now 7months old!! TEAM KAIYA raised over $1,500 and had many walkers!!! It was packed. I had never walked in the 'March of Dimes', but every parking lot was packed- we had to park 2 blocks away just to get there close to on time. Then when the walk officially started- it was like herding cattle. Many times during the walk- we were at a standstill. It should have taken us 30-40mins to slowly walk the 5k, with a stroller; in actuality it took about an hour and 20mins. We started at Farrington Field, and finished in Trinity Park. But then we had to walk back to Farrington Field, plus 2 more blocks to get to the car! I was exhausted!!!! But in the end- it was touching to see so many people come together- some in honor of, some in memory, but all in support of a great cause.

After the walk, Chad, Owen and myself jumped in the car and headed up to Hamilton to visit Chads grandfather. It was the first time for him to meet Owen. It was so special. The whole family came: Pops & Nana, Uncle Adam, Aunt Ang, Cousins Addison & Brooke, and the 3 of us. Hopefully we will get to go down there again soon.

April 19th was Owen's 4month birthday! We had a spontaneous celebration with PaPa & Mimi, Uncle Josh and Aunt Kelan at ChaCha's in Mansfield. Mom & Dad had been in Tyler camping for 5 days and missed Owen terribly, so we all got together to play with sweet Owen, and chat about their trip.

Thursday, April 21st, Owen went in for his 4month checkup. He showed off his new tricks: sitting up for a split second before toppling forward, pushing up on his arms while on his tummy, talking, giggling, and big smiles- all for Dr. Julie. Everything went perfectly and he checked out great! Then came the shots!!!!!!!!! 4 to be exact and one oral medicine- which Owen drank down like a champ! HE did good with his shots- of course he cried, but as soon as it was over he just whined, and then on the way home he talked and played with Monkey. That night we tried spood-fed cereal for the first time....he did ok. He spit out more than he swallowed (naturally), but he seemed to like it.

Later that night around 9pm, Chad heard Owen making noise in his crib, and as soon as Chad got in his room- Owen threw up everywhere. This lasted until midnight, and then he had it coming out the other end! Poor Baby!!! This was the first time he has ever been sick. : ( We called his Dr and she was convinced that he had a stomach bug. Shots normally do not cause vomitting. Chad ran out to get some Pedialyte so that hopefully Owen could restore his fluids. It was so sad, and very scary (for me at least). His fever spiked to 102.3 by 3am, down to 101.9 by 6am, and 100.6 by 8am. Around 11:30am his Dr called back and it was down to 98.3 (his normal). Thank goodness. He was still sickly all day Friday and acted sickly until Saturday morning. He slept 11 straight hours on Friday night. I was thankful that he slept, because I was exhausted. My sweet boy was better by Saturday and back to normal for Easter Sunday!
We spent Easter afternoon at Chad's parents house and Easter evening at my parents house. It was an awesome day- but I don't have very many pictures  : (
